Teresa has an ongoing commitment to developing her professional skills. She earned a California Single Subject Teaching Credential, a California Administrative Services Credential, a National Superintendents Academy Certificate, and a Leading Edge/Innovative Technology Administrator Certificate.
Teresa understands the unique experiences of a teacher because she served as a both a full-time teacher and a substitute teacher. In her roles as Physical Education Coordinator and Youth Development Specialist, she gained a perspective of the holistic approach needed in developing students’ mental, physical, emotional and social well-being.
Teresa’s education in Mathematics provided a solid background for the skills she uses today in analyzing and interpreting data. Moving from classroom teaching to administration in 2002, she has sharpened her organizational skills which give her the breadth of experience to advise School Boards, Superintendents, and Executive Cabinet members, as well as philanthropic and non-profit leadership.
Ultimately, Teresa has a passion for helping organizations rebuild their systems to support student success regardless of their zip code, the color of their skin, or the background of their family unit. She understands the importance of helping systems truly and authentically co-create alongside of families, students, staff, and communities they are in existence to serve.
